Ten Mahavidyas

  • Kali: Ruled by Saturn, associated with Aries and Scorpio (Mars).
  • Tara: Ruled by Jupiter, associated with Sagittarius and Pisces.
  • Tripura Sundari (Shodasi): Ruled by Mercury, associated with Gemini and Virgo.
  • Bhuvaneshwari: Ruled by the Moon, associated with Cancer.
  • Chinnamasta: Ruled by Rahu, associated with Aquarius and Capricorn (Saturn).
  • Bhairavi: Ruled by Lagna (ascendant), representing the self and personality.
  • Dhumavati: Ruled by Ketu, associated with Sagittarius and Pisces (Jupiter).
  • Bagalamukhi: Ruled by Mars, associated with Aries and Scorpio.
  • Matangi: Ruled by the Sun, associated with Leo.
  • Kamala (Lakshmi): Ruled by Venus, associated with Taurus and Libra

The Ten Mahavidyas, in their usual order, are: Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari (also known as Shodashi), Bhuvaneshvari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala. These are ten Tantric goddesses in Hinduism, each representing a unique aspect of the divine feminine.
